Le Propeller Club est une association professionnelle à but non lucratif dont les objectifs dans chaque région ou pays concernés sont ainsi définis :

Promouvoir et soutenir la Marine Marchande, les chantiers navals et tous les secteurs secondaires et tertiaires directement ou indirectement liés aux professions et activités maritimes.

Promouvoir et soutenir le développement des voies fluviales, leur trafic, leur modernisation ainsi que la recherche et l'élargissement d'une collaboration aussi bénéfique que possible entre les responsables du secteur fluvial, les autorités des grands ports de mer, et les associations maritimes.

Promouvoir et développer l'esprit d'amitié dans la recherche d'objectifs communs entre tous ses membres engagés professionnellement dans les activités maritimes de leur pays et des pays alliés.

Encourager le développement du commerce international et les échanges avec les autres nations.

International Ports

Ils concernent les clubs situés hors du territoire national des Etats Unis et qui dans le cadre des statuts de l'organisation, ont reçu officiellement leur charte.

Le nom officiel de chacun de ces Ports Club est :

"The Propeller Club of the United States, International Port of [...] N° [...]".

To promote, further and support an American Merchant Marine, included shipyards and other allied industries, adequate to meet the requirements of national security and economic welfare of the United States.

To promote waterborne commerce and the marine industry generally in all its segments.

To aide worthy and economically justifiable Great Lakes, rivers, inland waterway and harbor improvements.

To conduct annually an American Merchant Marine & Maritime Industry conference.

To Maintain a continuing program of public relations education and good will among exporters and importers and the public generally.

To collaborate with others organizations whose members are dedicated to the promotion of the best interest of American maritime shipping and allied industries.

To promote a spirit of friendship and common purpose among persons engaged in the American Merchant Marine and allied industries.

To encourage the development of trade with other countries.

International Ports

Local clubs located in countries or territories other than those of the United States which having agreed to be bound by the policies of the Propeller Club of the United States and having been granted a charter, perform the obligations as set forth in this Constitution and By-laws.

Each such local club shall be know as a Port and shall be named :

"The Propeller Club of the United States, International Port of [...] N° [...]".
